On the NBA court, height can give players a lot of advantages, and sometimes it seems impossible to guard them, so they are easier to score. So, who are the tallest players in NBA 2k20?

Tacko Fall, Boston Celtics

• Position: C
• Age: 23
• Height: 7’7″

Standing at 7’6″ Tacko Fall is currently the tallest player in the NBA and one of the tallest humans on Earth. He played a huge role in UCF’s success during March Madness. Interestingly enough, he wasn’t drafted during the 2019 NBA Draft.

However, it didn’t take teams long to pounce on the prospect. The Boston Celtics signed him, and although he’ll likely be a backup, he’ll still be good fun to use in NBA 2K20. He can score on the inside, and swat folks on the defensive end with ease.

And his size is so immense, that he will be extremely difficult to defend in the paint. If he gets stronger, and his strength rating goes up, then he’d be nearly unstoppable in post-up situations. He drop standing layups and dunks with ease, and if he misses, he grabs the boards right away and finishes the play in key moments of the games.

Boban Marjanović, Dallas Mavericks – 75 OVR

• Position: C
• Age: 31
• Height: 7’3″

The 7’3″ center Boban Marjanovic is loved by the NBA and the majority of its fan base. He is fun to watch, being both extremely tall and a legitimately good player, but his height tends to tire him out very quickly.

With stamina playing a major role in the sport, most teams refuse to play him for longer than 12 minutes per game, but Marjanovic still puts down 7 PPG and 5 REB – impressive stats that even some guys playing 36 minutes per game fail to record.

Boban was the tallest player active player in the NBA for a few seasons until this years draft, he is in line to have another productive year but this time he will be teamed up with a hungry Dallas Mavericks lineup eager to win.

Kristaps Porzingis, Dallas Mavericks – 87 OVR

• Position: PF/C
• Age: 24
• Height: 7’3″

Dubbed “The Unicorn” has risen to become one of the NBA’s best PF since Kristaps Porzingis surprising draft which saw the Knicks take him fourth.

Coming off the back end of a torn ACL, Kristaps is looking to have a rebound season and there is no doubt he will indeed have one. This season has been the Luka Doncic show for the Mavericks, but Porzingis added a career day into the Mavericks’ 2019 season storybook against the Philadelphia 76ers. The towering forward contributed 22 points in the win, but he set a new career-high with a whopping 18 rebounds.

Bol Bol, Denver Nuggets – 73 OVR

• Position: C
• Age: 19
• Height: 7’2″

Centers who are between 7’1″ and 7’3″ are always a blast to use in 2K due to their length, and is it great if you’re someone who loves grabbing rebounds. Bol Bol, the son of the late, shot-blocking machine Manute Bol, has many unique skills for a big man of his size.

For starters, posting up dudes in the paint will be good fun, as his length will allow for some nice hook shot opportunities and potential posterizing dunks. Although he played only nine games in college, the former Oregon star put up some monster numbers which included 21 points and 2.7 blocks per game.

So not only can he post up and dominate in the paint, but he can give you plenty of swats on the other end on the floor. And what makes things even more fun (and more unfortunate for your opponents), is that Bol should be a very solid three-point shooter as well.

Even though it was a small sample size, the big man shot a whopping 52% from the three-point island in his short time with the Ducks. This could yield him a 78 to 80 rating from beyond the arc in NBA 2K20.

With all of these skills, you can put up some ridiculous numbers with Bol. You’d be able to drop buckets, collect plenty of rebounds, and block more people than an Xbox or PlayStation gamer.

DeAndre Ayton, Phoenix Suns – 82 OVR

• Position: C
• Age: 21
• Height: 7’1″

Traditional bigs are a rarity in today’s NBA, but at 7’1″ and 250 pounds, Deandre Ayton fits a unique mold and fits it well. A lot has been said of how little the Phoenix Suns featured him in their offense, but, like Tatum, that won’t be an issue for us in 2K.

Deandre Ayton is entering his sophomore season in the NBA as one of the most exciting young players in the league right now. The 21-year-old center is ready to take the Phoenix Suns to be a competitive team once again. This guy is a great rebounder, a walking double-double, and a very efficient scorer, averaging an FG% of 58.5. All these characteristics made Ayton earned an 82 overall rating in 2K20, and the 10th position on this list.

Marc Gasol, Toronto Raptors – 82 OVR

• Position: C
• Age: 34
• Height: 7’1″

The next player we have chosen is the Toronto Raptors Spanish center Marc Gasol.

Whilst he may finally be an NBA Champion, having picked up a long-overdue ring last season following his mid-season move from Memphis to Toronto, Marc Gasol simply isn’t the player he once was.

Once considered one of the NBA’s best centers, Marc is still an effective squad rotation player, but that’s about as far as he goes nowadays, and with a 13.6 PPG average last season.

Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz – 88 OVR

• Position: C
• Age: 27
• Height: 7’1″

The two-time Defensive Player of The Year winner is once again one of the focal points for the Utah Jazz this upcoming season. With one of the longest wingspans in the NBA, Rudy Gobert has always been touted as one of the best rim defenders in the league and will look to improve upon this.

The French big man has been a huge part of the Utah Jazz’s success in recent years, and this season he’s set to take the team to play for the NBA title. He’s already showing what he’s planning to do next campaign with his performance against Team USA in the FIBA World Cup. Gobert has earned an 88 overall rating, which will be higher as the season goes on.

Whilst he may be the best defender currently in the NBA, Gobert has also stated that he has ‘only scratched the surface on what he can be offensively’ a worrying statement for the rest of the NBA, that’s for sure.

NBA 2K21 Wishlist

With the release of NBA 2K20, it became a favorite with a large number of players and became the best-selling video simulation game. NBA 2K21 is still about six months away, We predict it should once again be among the best looking on the market. I’ve already unleashed a huge wishlist for NBA 2K21. A few of the items on the list are more likely to make into the game than others.

Cover Star

Ah, the yearly battle for cover star. Every sports title has it, fans of all clubs argue why their star should be the face of the game, but that decision ultimately lies with 2K Sports.

There have been some BIG names on the 2k covers over the years too, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Michael Jordan to name a few.

This year saw LA Lakers star Anthony Davis front the standard edition, whilst All-Time NBA great Dwyane Wade was the man for the Legend Edition.

There are likely to be two editions that hit the shelves again this year, but who will follow in AD and Dwyane’s footsteps? NBA 2K21 Cover Stars prediction:

A Kobe Bryant Tribute Mode

After Bryant’s untimely passing in January, it seems almost impossible to imagine 2K’s tribute to the deceased legend is over. They have honored him in-game with some digital murals, but nothing quite as grand as should be expected for this year’s game when the team has had a chance to work on something more in-depth.

I’d expect to see some sort of Bryant tribute mode, and it’s possible it could be similar to the Jordan Challenge mode from NBA 2K11.

Female MyPlayers

Bryant was all about the promotion and advocacy of women’s basketball. His daughter Gianna, who passed away with him in the tragic accident, was an excellent young player.

I can see 2K seeking permission to use Gianna’s influence and inspiration as a way to finally incorporate female MyPlayers into the game. A step was taken in NBA 2K20 with the inclusion of the WNBA; Female MyPlayers is the next stage, and Gianna would be the perfect inspiration.

Career Mode

The last few NBA 2K games have had incredible MyCareer modes that start with intricate stories for sports games. From big-name voice talent to impressive production values, both “The Way Back” in NBA 2K19 and Che’s saga in NBA 2K20 were winners.

That means that NBA 2K21 will almost certainly follow suit, if for no other reason than the series has already set a pretty high bar. The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will give the developers even more power with which to show off their creativity. The Neighborhood could also use a facelift or refresh for the rest of everyone’s MyCareer play, and the new consoles would be the perfect excuse to reimagine the career hub.

MyTeam Draft Mode

Another largely successful game mode in the NBA 2K series, including the most recent NBA 2K20, is the squad building MyTEAM.

It has had its fair share of controversy last year. In order to encourage participation, players are rewarded with mini-games such as drop the ball or spin the wheel.

Combining these casino-style mini-games with the ability to spend real money to purchase packs in an attempt to better your team has caused outrage amongst the community, who believe that 2K are promoting gambling to a young audience. Could we see these mini-games removed in 2K21?

There is one area where it seems things are still lacking, and it is the absence of a draft mode. Every other major sports video game series that has a collector mode has a draft option like MUT Draft, FUT Draft, and MLB The Show has Battle Royale. It’s hard to imagine 2K would go another year without their own.

There are certainly a lot of microtransaction in MyTEAM, meaning it is tough for casual players to compete with those willing to invest some extra money into the game. It’s not uncommon, but with the game alone priced at £59.99 for the standard edition or £89.99 for the legend edition on release, there shouldn’t be a need to pay big amounts of money for success. In addition, you can buy a lot of NBA 2k20 mt through u4gm.com, you will enjoy the cheapest price on the market, helping you save more money. Therefore, the micro transactions in the game are not a big problem.

Position Lock

One of the more controversial decisions by the team for NBA 2K20 is to limit positions in MyTeam to whatever was on their card. For example, if a player’s card said he was a PF, he had to play there on the court, and every lineup had to consist of one player at the five traditional basketball positions (PG, SG, SF, PF, and C). Not only did this handcuff gamers; it wasn’t representative of the NBA’s evolution toward positionless basketball. And while 2K somewhat mitigated it by making the best cards eligible for two positions, the grumbling remained throughout the season.

Though 2K has yet to announce exactly what it plans to change for MyTeam for NBA 2K21, although here’s hoping the developer add more solo content, for starters. It wouldn’t be surprising to see position lock return, too, if only because it helps control the MyTeam squads in Unlimited online play. We’re also keeping an eye on evolution’s return, currently well-received, so that cards can progress to higher levels.

Technical Fouls

I spoke with a 2K dev last year about this being added to the game, and heard some encouraging feedback. My initial suggestion came to the team a little too close to the launch of NBA 2K20, but it seems logical that it might have been added to the list for NBA 2K21.

Essentially, the more emotional players and coaches who have registered the most technical fouls in real life would have the highest probability of drawing one in the game. A self-control and/or emotional rating would come into play whenever a call doesn’t go their way. Depending on the situation, the chances of a tech being called increases.

Next-Gen

As we have alluded to already, the next-gen of gaming is coming, but what will the PS5 and Xbox Series X mean for sports games?

Well, the scope for development is going to be HUGE. The specs in the PS5 alone include a new eight-core AMD CPU based on AMD’s new 7nm Zen 2 architecture and a custom GPU based on its new Radeon Navi hardware.

Now for your gaming needs, this will excite you. For those who don’t quite understand all the lingo, trust us, it means big things!

Cross-Platform

As we mentioned in our NBA Live preview piece, a feature which would be massive for 2K21 would be the ability to game, either socially or competitively, against users on other platforms.

Epic Games, the developers of our game of the year, Fortnite, revolutionized gaming with their addition of cross-platform gaming, could 2K21 be the start of cross-platform gaming on sports titles?

Galaxy Opal Michael Jordan Card breakdown

There isn’t much this Michael Jordan card can’t do and with 99 OVR in both offense and defense, that shouldn’t come as much of a shock.

You can cook from pretty much anywhere on the court, with 94 rated three-point shot, 98 rated close shot but most importantly, a 99 rated mid-range and let’s be honest, MJ doesn’t miss from mid-range.

On the opposite end of the court, MJ’s 99 rated steal is going to come in handy when looking to hit the opposition on the counter, whilst 98 perimeter defense and 98 defensive consistency makes him a hard man to beat on the drive.

You’d expect Air Jordan to fly in terms of his athleticism – and you’d be correct. 97 OVR athleticism is made up of 98 speed, 98 acceleration, and 98 stamina. In short, he’s quick.

It also has 59 total badges (38 HOF and 21 gold).

How to get Galaxy Opal Michael Jordan?

The All-Star Flashcards are currently available in packs, which will set you back 10,500 MT or 7,500 VC.

As per usual with the 2K packs, buying in bulk will save you a bit of coin. You can use MyTeam points to pick up boxes of 10 for 67.5k or 20 for 135k. It seems to cost a lot of NBA 2K20 MT if you need to buy NBA 2K20 MT cheap, I recommend U4GM, a great choice.

In NBA 2k20 MyTeam, there are amethyst cards, ruby cards and diamond cards. The three have different prices. Diamond cards are the cheapest among them and the minimum requirement for most teams. In short, it’s hard to compete with top teams if you don’t have a team of diamond players. Here, we list the five cheapest and best diamond cards in NBA 2k20 MyTeam.

• PG/SG – Jason Terry – Jason Kidd Spotlight Series Pack – 9,950 MT

Once upon a time, former NBA veteran shooting guard Jason Terry was known as “The Jet.” Terry played 19 seasons in the NBA for the Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks (who drafted him with the No. 10 pick in 1999), Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks. He was known for his three-point shooting and is fifth in NBA history with 2,282 career makes from beyond the arc.

Terry was an instrumental member of the 2010-11 Dallas Mavericks team that would win the first NBA championship in franchise history, and he retired in 2018 after 19 seasons in the league. Now, Terry is preparing for his role as the assistant GM for the Texas Legends, the G-League affiliate for the Mavs.

This Diamond card is a little on the short side at 6’2″, but it’s under 10,000 NBA 2K20 MT coins, and still a dynamite shooter from the outside (95 three-point shooting) with excellent speed (98).

The card also has a gold Clamps badge with 37 badges in total. This is one of the best bargains in the Auction House overall.

• SG/PG – Donovan Mitchell – Moments of the Week 1/16/20 – 7,500 MT

If your Diamond startup squad needs a player who can be a bit of a do-it-all scorer, this “Spida” Mitchell card fits the bill.

Mitchell did put up some impressive regular season stats last year. He averaged 21.4 PPG as well as 4.1 RPG and 4.2 assists, however, his form dropped quite significantly when it came to the playoffs.

Mitchell spent around five minutes more on the court per game but shot less, with a significantly worse field goal percentage as the Jazz got crushed by the Rockets in round one. For the second successive year, Mitchell has been slightly overrated at launch.

It has a 95 speed, 92 three-point shot, and a 95 dunk rating. While he’s only 6’3, the Mitchell card gets great animations on the drive which along with gold Contact Finisher allows him to dunk over the defense.

• SG/SF – Tony Allen – New Year’s Resolution – Evolved – 8,500 MT

Let’s start by saying you want to be sure to get the evolved version, if not, you’re looking at a less valuable Amethyst. There is one other disclaimer as well; the jump shot motion is a bit slow and awkward.

If you can get by that, this card can be a major factor for you against just about any 2-guard or small forward. True to the real-life Allen, the defense provided is stellar.

Allen was part of the last Celtics side to win a ring back in 2008. He made six NBA All-Defensive team appearances in his career, three on the All-Defensive First Team and three on the second.

His overall defending rating is a whopping 92, made up of some top-tier stats such as 97 perimeter defense. Combine that with his 86 rated steal and you have a nightmare for the opposition.

The card has a 97 perimeter defense and 98 steal rating to go with a 97 lateral quickness mark and a Hall-of-Fame Clamps badge. Because the three-point shooting mark is an 86, and his dunking rating is a 90, the Allen card is capable of keeping defenses honest.

• SF/PF – Kevin Durant – ’20 Current Series – 9,400 MT

With the release of the new Galaxy Opal Kevin Durant and the existence of the Diamond Lights Out version, the price of this regular roster series version has dropped.

Obviously, it’s not as good as the GO, but with Durant’s length and solid animations, he is still a good Diamond option under 10,000 2K20 MT. This version of Durant has an 84 three-point rating, an 85 driving drunk, and a bronze Clamps badge.

Durant is the fourth-highest rated player in the game, what’s more concerning to the Nets than a video game ranking is the health of Durant. The superstar suffered a torn Achilles in the NBA Finals. The chances of Durant taking to the court this campaign are little to zero, with the Nets hoping that the 2014 MVP can recapture his old form from next season onwards. Durant is a ball-dominant player as indicated by his 99 rating in the touches tendency.

By far, this is the most modest of the cards included on this list, but it’s the best power forward option in the price range with the Frostbite Antoine Walker in the conversation.

• C/PF – Karl Malone – Prime Series II – VIP – 13,950 MT

Yes, the Diamond Karl Malone is small for center in MyTeam, but if you’re looking for a bargain, this position is the toughest to fill.

Arguably the greatest player to ever play for the Utah Jazz, Malone spent 18 years in Utah, making the All-Star team fourteen times during that stretch. Over the course of his career, he averaged a double-double with 25 PPG and 10.1 RPG and like Love, Malone had his number retired by both club and college at the end of his career.

Malone is a beast in the paint, with his inside scoring (89 OVR) made up of 91 post moves, 85 standing dunk, and 85 driving dunk.

In fact, at the time this article was published, the Karl Malone card was the only one that could play center that could be had in the Auction House for less than 15,000 MT.

That said, Malone can stretch the floor (80 three-point rating) defend the post (96 interior defense), rebound (96), and he’s also fast for the position (80). It’s not a perfect lineup, but for around 50,000 MT, you could quickly become competitive in MyTeam Unlimited or Triple Threat Online.
